I ordered these in October of 2022. We have been inseparable, ever since. I have worn them a LOT. Like… a LOT. They are a classy, comfy, versatile, stylish, and just my favorite shoe ever (post-COVID) because you get a little height and elongation without butchering your spine. No glue shows through the raffia. They are awesome. My only complaint before today is that the left shoe was a little larger than the right (I’m a 9, but can pull off an 8.5 in these situations, but unfortunately there are no half sizes. So the left one slips a bit when walking fast. I can look past that because these are my favorite shoes). This is not a common issue for me so the sizing thing is not about my feet, specifically. I know no one has identical feet but if my 5 inch stilettos work, it’s the shoe, not the foot. Then, tonight, I’m out to dinner, and as I’m walking into the restaurant, I see a pink spot on my right shoe (as I’m admiring my beautiful shoes. That I’ve had for 9 months. And still fawn over). And I realize it’s my freshly pedicured toenail poking through the canvas. Nooooo! Not this shoe! Noooo! So… when you walk, your foot rolls. The toes point up. But less than a years’ wear out of a shoe for this price? I’m so disappointed. And my partner is like “you’re not spending another $125 on a pair of shoes that don’t get a year of wear”. And he’s probably right.I’ve tried all the espadrilles. These are the best looking. The most comfortable (I don’t have delicate, Italian feet, but Soludos and other brands are always so tight). The elastic inserts alleviate tightness fast, as your foot molds to the bed. But can’t spend another $125 knowing I might not even get 12 months of wear out of them.If anyone with unlimited financial resources is reading this, order 3 pairs in each color. Anyone else? Make sure you check your usage expectations. If you’re okay replacing them frequently, join the cult.
