I walk 3+ miles per day on asphalt. I got these because they are cute and styled differently than my usual walking sandal (Atikas). The footbed is soft and feels bouncy which is nice on a long walk. The soles appear to be sturdy enough to stand up to the asphalt, but maybe not quite as sturdy as Atikas. Atikas last for 500+ miles of asphalt and I'm hoping these will as well. My only complaint so far is that they don't have much arch support. Better arch support would have made this a 5 star shoe.they were very comfortable, but runs shortThese waterproof hiking sandals are very comfortable and lightweight with soft EVA upper sole. Each of the three straps are adjustable for a custom fit. The Velcro closures are easy to use and stay in place well. The bottom sole is rubber with excellent traction/no slipping. I love that they are waterproof and I can just step right into the stream and cool off when hiking and don't have to remove them. These dry quickly and are true to size. I'm very happy with these.My sister had a pair of Ryka sandals with the same sort of velcro adjustable straps that has since been discontinued. I took a chance on this very similar style being to her liking. She has much difficulty finding comfortable footwear due to a large bunion , an ankle surgery and a dropped foot. She loves these shoes, said they are wonderful!I like the colorI love how they fit and are so comfortable to wear. I wear them every day and would certainly buy them again.Comfortable, well made and true to size. Nice arch and soft walking shoe.I love the comfort. I wear an 8.5 but ordered a 9 which fits perfectly. May be a little small if you order your normal size. Love that all straps are adjustable. I can tighten the fit on my narrow feet.
